CHINA NATIONAL SYMPHONY

The 80-piece China National Symphony Orchestra is one of the most outstanding professional symphony orchestras in China ––“ a solid, energetic and meticulously drilled ensemble”. In this North American tour the orchestra has played to rave notices under the direction of principal conductor Xincao Li. The CNSO program will include a violin concerto by Sibelius and  Rachmaninoff’s great Symphony #2.

Bowfire features one of the finest lineups of fiddle and violin virtuosos ever assembled on one stage. The audience is taken on a musical journey including jazz, classical, bluegrass, Celtic, rock, gypsy, world music.  BOWFIRE is electrifying music, incredible step and tap dancing, and beautiful voices in a fast-paced show with first class production values.

La Traviata

Verdi's much-loved opera La Traviata is a perfect finale to PCMA's 71st season. This dazzling production with its beautiful, familiar music is the moving story of the consumptive, Parisian courtesan Violetta who sacrifices her chance at true love with Alfredo at his father's behest. Verdi's intense, emotional music puts La Traviata in the top ten of all-time opera favorites!
